Obituary for Addie Lee Skipper Rutherford
Addie Lee Skipper Rutherford, 77, of Wallace, SC, went to be with her Lord and Savior. Jesus Christ, Monday, May 4, 2020, at her residence.
She was born September 8, 1942, in Marlboro County, SC, daughter of Kenny Skipper and Nora Lee Hatcher Skipper.
Mrs. Rutherford was a long time member of Outreach for Jesus. She sang in the church choir and was a true woman of God. She loved working in her yard whether it was growing vegetables or flowers, watching birds or just enjoying nature.
A private Graveside Service, due to COVID -19 restrictions, will be held at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church with Pastor Marvin Taylor officiating.
She is survived by her daughter, Darlee Roberson (Robert Cummings) of Rockingham; sons, John David Lewis of the home and John Jr. “Bebo” Lewis of Parkton; sisters, Lorene Watts ”Susie” of Statesville, Lorraine Watson “Sally” of Mooresville and Rosie Cranford of Cherry Grove, SC; seven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; two great-great- grandchildren; and her two companions, Buster and Lucy.
