Obituary for Alice Jane Robinette

Alice Jane Robinette, 73, of Hamlet, NC passed away Thursday, May 20, 2021 at First Health Richmond Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.

Alice was the daughter of the late Roland and Verna Pringle of Clay, WV.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Frances Ann Adams Fraley; stepson Carl Robinette, Jr.; stepdaughter Carla Rameriz; sister, Velma Estrathers; and brothers, Dennie Allen and Johnny Dale Pringle.

Surviving is her husband, Carl Robinette of Hamlet, NC; brother, William Kenneth Pringle of Clay, WV; sister, Valerie (Alvin) Holcomb of Clay, WV; daughters, Valerie (Mike) Hicks and Sherry (Mike Atwell) Conn of Rockingham, NC, Kathy (Joe) Clemons of Logan, WV; stepson, Tony Robinette of FL; grandchildren, Ryan (Kristen) Hicks, Ty Hicks, Jessica (Bobby) Dingess, Alexandria (Joey) Justice, Madison (Cody) Gore, Gunner, Baily and Cross Conn, Joey (Jackie) and Skylar Clemons, Austin Simon, Dallon Robinette, and Lucy Robinette; Great grandchildren, Madden Clay, Hunter and Carter Gore, Cruz Clemons, Bronx Dingess, and Harper Justice.

Alice previously was employed at Scottie's Drive Inn and also, Shoney's restaurants in Logan, WV and Rockingham, NC. Most recent, she was employed by Sandhills Regional Medical Center in Hamlet, NC as a Dietary Aide, in which she took great pride.

She was an active member of Maple Street Freewill Baptist Church and loved her pastors. She loved to bake and grow flowers like nobody else. She was known for baking the best biscuits around. She loved family gatherings and bragging on her grandkids.

Mrs. Alice will be missed by several nieces and nephews, family and friends.

A Memorial Service in her honor will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. at Maple Street Freewill Baptist Church in Rockingham, NC. Pastor Darwin Cook will officiate.

A second memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 23, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. at New Day Family Worship Center in Monaville, WV. Pastor Mike Hicks will officiate.

Per her request, her ashes will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Logan, WV at a later date.
