Barbara Rose Jean went to her heavenly home on April 11, 2022, at Wadesboro Health & Rehab.
She was born July 8, 1944 in Manhattan, NY, daughter of the late Leo Jean and Lillian Dennis Jean.
Barbara spent most of her life in New York City. She moved to North Carolina in 2008 to be closer to family as her health started to decline.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Lillian Dennis Jean; sister, Patricia Lorraine Jean; brother, Fred Leo Jean; and her beloved niece, Glenda Gilliam Smith.
She is survived by her sister, Beverly Jean Speedling of Rockingham, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Services will be held privately by the family.
