Obituary for Connie Brown Benoist
Connie Brown Benoist, 74, of Rockingham, went to be with her Lord, on Saturday, April 3, 2021, at her residence.
Connie was born in Hackensack, NJ, August 8, 1946, daughter of Stacy H. Brown and Katherine Helen Paul Brown.
She was a member of New Covenant Christian Fellowship, where she was a former Sunday School teacher and dedicated member. Connie worked several years at L’eggs and was an expert seamstress. Over the years she made many friends that trusted her with their sewing needs. She was a good mother and raised her children in the church and was both a mother and a father to them; she had a love for animals and never saw a cat she didn’t love. But her faith was her biggest asset and she will always be remembered as being a woman of great faith; she was one that never hesitated to share her love of God.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 11, 2021, at New Covenant Christian Fellowship, 120 Hamer Road, Rockingham, from 2:00-3:00 pm
The Memorial Service will begin at 3:00 pm with Pastor Christopher Pruitte officiating.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Herbert Brown; and sister, Sara B. Sessoms.
Survivors include her daughter, Lisa Patterson (William) of Rockingham; son, Louis Wallace (Annette) of Rockingham; sister, Karen B. Gainey of Rockingham; brother-in-law, Gordon Sessoms of Hamlet; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; very special friends, Nancy Greene and Penny Helton; and her pets, Oreo, Velvet, Dovey and Mitzi.
