Obituary for Donald "Don" Moore Edwards, Sr.
Donald “Don” Moore Edwards, Sr., 86, of Polkton, passed away, Friday, December 20, 2019, in Hamlet.
He was born in Mecklenburg County, May 13, 1933, son of Enos Tyler Edwards and Lucille Moore Edwards.
Mr. Edwards was an enforcement officer with the NC Wildlife Commission; and loved wildlife. He served the State of North Carolina protecting their wildlife. He was a veteran of the US Navy as well.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Bobby Edwards.
He is survived by his son, Donald “Don” M. Edwards, Jr. ( Mary) of Hamlet; daughters, Jeanne Roller (David) of Laurinburg, and Kay Gardner (Johnny) of Rockingham; brother Fred Edwards of Atlanta, GA; sister Betsy Stroud of Rockwell; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
All Services will be Private held at a later date.
