Obituary for Earl "Jimmy" Roscoe, Jr.
Earl James Roscoe, Jr., “Jimmy”, 75, of 454 Old Cheraw Highway, Rockingham, passed away, Wednesday, December 11, 2019, at his residence.
He was born January 9, 1944, in Richmond County, son of Earl James Roscoe, Sr. and Ethel James Roscoe.
Mr. Roscoe previously worked at CSX Railroad. Before Mr. Roscoe’s illness he was very active in Youth Baseball and sports. He really enjoyed working with those kids!
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2019, from 6:00-8:00 pm at Harrington Funeral Home.
A Graveside Service will be held on Sunday, December 15, 2019, at 3:00 pm at Richmond Memorial Park. Rev. Chris Thornton will be officiating.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Roscoe of the home; daughters, Lisa Russell of Pinebluff, Kay Blue of Hamlet and Cindy Lassiter of Hamlet; sons, Chris Roscoe of Rockingham, James Roscoe of Hamlet and Tim Sellers of Rockingham; brother, Leonard Roscoe of Asheville; sisters, Virginia McDuffie of Hamlet and Peggy Howdyshell of Marietta, GA; seven grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
