“Pete” loved his family but loved his Savior, Jesus Christ even more.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Nellie H. Griffin; brothers, William F., Paul and Ray Griffin; and sister, Cora Herndon.

Survivors include his daughter, Kathy Richardson (Roger) of High Point; sons, Rodney Griffin and Eddie Griffin both of the home; sisters, Mollie Thomas of High Point and Lois Stewart of Charlotte; seven grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.

Pete’s own word say so much about his life; I have so much love for my family, but Jesus comes first. I’m just a sinner saved by grace; I’ve done wrong a lot of ways, but all that has been erased by Jesus my Savior. On my knees I cried for mercy and forgiveness and he set me free! I am his and he is mine; when he was on the cross I was on his mind. When I should have been on the cross he took my place. He loved us so much he gave his life for us.
