Obituary for George Levi Stroll
George Levi Stroll, 73, of Rockingham, passed away Monday, January 24, 2022, at the Hermitage Retirement Center.
He was born April 5, 1948 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, son of the late George Stroll and Georgene Hansen Stroll.
Mr. Stroll served in the United States Navy, aboard the USS Roosevelt. He worked for Sara Lee Hosiery as a fixer. He loved to fish and loved to ride. And he was proud of his children and loved his grandbabies.
He was predeceased by his parents; brother, Jim Stroll; and sister, Georgene Barlup.
Surviving are his wife, Kathy Speight Stroll; sons, Cory Stroll of Hamlet, and Jason Stroll (Jennifer) of Ellerbe; daughter, Megan Stroll of Rockingham; brother, Robert Stroll of Pennsylvania; and seven grandchildren.
A time of visitation will be held Sunday, May 15, 2022 from 2:00pm-3:00pm at Community Church, Mill Road, Rockingham. The graveside memorial service will follow at 3:30pm at Northam Cemetery, with Pastor Chris Thornton officiating.
