Obituary for Johnnie Eugene "Gene" Batton
Johnnie Eugene “Gene” Batton, 74, of Rockingham, passed away, Thursday, August 6, 2020, at Hospice Haven.
He was born in Richmond County, April 26, 1945, son of Johnnie Batton and Essie Snuggs Batton.
Mr. Batton was a veteran of the US Army. He was a quite person that enjoyed being home; his hobbies were fishing and spending time outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Larry M. Batton, Sr.
He is survived by one nephew, Larry “Mitchell” Batton, Jr. of Rockingham.
A Graveside Service will be held Monday, August 10, 2020 at 11:00 AM, at Richmond Memorial Park, Rockingham. Social distancing and face mask are requested.
