Obituary for Josephine Brigman
Josephine Turnage Brigman, 84, of Hamlet, passed away Friday, February 11, 2022 at First Health Richmond Memorial Hospital.
She was born July 29, 1937, youngest of five children to the late Winford Jack Turnage and Naomi Bullard Turnage.
Josephine was a homemaker and loved her family. Her extended family, including nieces and nephews, were a huge part of her life. She was a wonderful wife, mother, aunt, and friend.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Calvin Brigman in 2007; sisters, Marie Turnage Hodges, Zearlee Turnage Turner, and Sudie Turnage Howell; and brother, Enoch Monroe Turnage.
She is survived by her husband, James Carlisle of the home; son, Winford Hugh Brigman of Hamlet; step-sons, James Carlisle and Jerry Carlisle; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services are currently being arranged. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Wildwood, FL, date to be announced.
