Obituary for Kenneth "Ken" E. Knorr
Kenneth “Ken” E. Knorr, 71, of Hamlet, left his earthly home on Wednesday, June 29, 2022.
He was born December 17, 1950, in Richmond County, son of the late Harry and Varessa Knorr.
Ken loved all things Classic Cars and spent his free time working on his various car projects. He was a regular participant in a local group for classic car enthusiasts called the Tuesday Cruisers. He truly enjoyed the time spent making memories with his friends while admiring vintage machinery. When he wasn’t tinkering with automobiles, you’d find Ken researching the vast unknown of outer space. He was fascinated by and in awe of God’s infinite universe.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Varessa Knorr; son, Brent Knorr; and brothers, Larry Knorr and Floyd Knorr.
Ken was blessed beyond measure with a loving family. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Patsy Knorr; daughters, Brandy K. Curtis (Michael) of Rockingham and Renee K. Russ (Jared) of Ft. Mill, SC; sister, Patricia “Pat” Knorr of Hamlet; grandchildren, Garrett Ammons, Katie Curtis, Alyssa Curtis, Ona Knorr, Linley Russ, and Shelby Russ; and several nieces and nephews.
A private memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.
