Obituary for Lonnie Eugene Hinson, Jr.
Mr. Lonnie Eugene Hinson, Jr., 50, of Rockingham, passed away on Friday, January 28, 2022 at Duke University Medical Center.
Lonnie was born June 2, 1971, son of the late Lonnie Eugene Hinson, Sr. and Neva Mabe Lee.
Lonnie was the ultimate jokester. He loved to make people laugh. He had a passion for playing pool and an appreciation for many makes and models of cars. He was a collector of many things, especially anything Sci-fi related. You could always find him showing off a new pair of outrageous shoes. The thing he enjoyed most was spending time with his daughter and his miniature schnauzer, Logan.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lonnie Eugene Hinson, Sr.
He is survived by his daughter, Taylor Nichole Hinson of the home; mother, Neva Mabe Lee of Rockingham; brother, Phil Hinson of Rockingham; and sister, Cindy Hinson of Rockingham.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Harrington Funeral Home from 4:00pm-5:00pm.
The funeral service will follow the visitation at 5:00pm, with the Rev. Phil Hinson officiating.
Masks are required for all services.
