Obituary for Melissa Lynn Baxley
Melissa Lynn Baxley, 47, of Hamlet, formerly of Laurinburg, passed away Sunday, January 2, 2022 at First Health Richmond Memorial Hospital.
She was born August 7, 1974, in Scotland County, daughter of the late Donald Mickey Baxley and the late Betty Gerald "Geri" Fowler.
Melissa attended New Beginnings Christian Ministries. She was family-oriented, loving her children and her siblings and would selflessly give of herself to them. She was a friend to everyone and loved helping people. The sweet soul that she was, found happiness when others around her were happy. Music, the beach and making sure her house was clean were her enjoyments. She was a Georgia Bulldog fan.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Miranda Baxley and Natalie Ava Barsh, both of Augusta, Georgia, and Brandi Alyssa Adams of the home; brother, Donald “Mitch” Baxley (Linda Peele) of Augusta, Georgia; sister, Collins Hewett (Trey); aunt, Evelyn Fowler of Laurel Hill; and nieces, Rilee Gerald Baxley and Mackenzie Faulk.
Services are being planned for a later date.
