She was born in Richmond County, August 9, 1955, daughter of John Russell Black and Elizabeth Steen Black.
She is survived by her husband, Aaron Junior Helms of the home; son, Jeff Adcock of Derby; brother, William Black of Rockingham; sister, Molly Hoffman of Rockingham; grandchildren, John Russell Adcock and Toby Jordan Adcock both of Rockingham; and two great-grandchildren, Jace Adcock and Mila Adcock.
