Obituary for Pamela Sheppard Smith
Pamela Sheppard Smith, 71, of Rockingham, passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at UNC Hospital, Chapel Hill.
She was born February 5, 1951, in Durham, NC, daughter of the late Donnie Sheppard and Natalie Roscoe Sheppard.
Pam worked in administration with the Department of Corrections. She was a member of Abundant Life Church, formerly Highland Acres Church of God. Making old things beautiful was a gift she possessed with crafts. She and her husband enjoyed traveling, making memories in places such as Alaska, Nova Scotia, New Orleans, and the Carribbean, to name a few.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Donnie and Natalie Roscoe Sheppard.
Pam is survived by her husband, John Marshall Smith of the home; step-daughter, Anna Smith of Rockingham; grandson, Joshua Smith and great-grandson Dylan Smith; and Johnny Sheppard and Nelson Sheppard, who were like her brothers, and their families.
Graveside services will be Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at 2:00pm at Richmond County Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Joe Wilkes officiating. Burial will follow in the cemetery.
