Obituary for Rev. Howard Junior Walters
Rev. Howard Junior Walters, 76, of Patrick, SC, went to be with his Lord, November 7, 2020, at his residence surrounded by his family.
He was born in Hartsville, SC, son of Lawson Walters and Area Barefoot Walters.
Rev. Walters was a minister for many years, after being ordained in 1978. He was a graduate of Fruitland Bible College, pastoring local churches including Bethel Baptist, Ellerbe, when his children were younger. The Family shares many found memories of growing up in Ellerbe. He was a member of Praise Temple, Hartsville, SC. He left a lasting impression on many lives and will be sorely missed.
The family will be having a Memorial Service on Monday, November 9, 2020 at Praise Temple, 817 N. Marquis Highway, Hartsville, SC 29551. Visitation will be from 2:00-3:00 pm and the Service will begin at 3:00 pm Social distancing and mask are encouraged

He was preceded in death by his parents Lawson and Area B. Walters; his wife, Shelia Shepard Walters; and a sister, Nancy Rogers.
Survivors include his daughters, Laura Greene of Biscoe, Barbara McLeod of Candor and Amy Walters of Conway, SC; sons, Kenneth Walters of Patrick, SC, Joshua Walters of Chesterfield, SC, Matthew Walters of Patrick, SC and Shawn Washburn of Gainesville, GA; brother, Heyward Walters of Patrick, SC; thirteen grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
