Obituary for Rev. Reddin Franklin "Buddy" Hill

Rev. Reddin Franklin “Buddy” Hill, 87, of Hamlet, went to be with his Lord, Monday, April 12, 2021, at Roper Hospital, Charleston, SC.

Rev. Hill was born January 14, 1934 in Wilson County, son of Robert Lee Hill and Rachel Luevenia Bailey Hill.

He was a minister for over 30 years at First Free Will Baptist Church, Hamlet, a member of Mt. Carmel Free Will Baptist and a veteran of the US Air Force. A man that truly loved God, his family and his church family; they were his life. He had a quick wit and sense of humor as he enjoyed making people laugh. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will surely be missed!

Visitation will be held Thursday, April 15, 2021 at Mt. Carmel Free Will Baptist Church from 6:00-8:00 pm.

The Funeral will be Friday, April 16, 2021, at 2:00 pm at Mt. Carmel Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Childers officiating.

Burial will follow at Richmond Memorial Park.

He is survived by his wife of sixty years, Evelyn Butler Hill; daughters, Sharon Norton (Okcuse) of Laurel Hill and Michelle Perakis (Jason) of Rockingham; sons, Bobby Hill (Audra) of Mullins, SC, Tommy Hill (Maryglenn) of Rockingham and Michael Hill (Candace) of Leland; sister, Janet Hill of Lucama; thirteen grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
