Obituary for Rev. Thad Louis Pearson

Rev. Thad Louis Pearson, 79, of Hamlet, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at First Health Moore, Pinehurst.

Rev. Pearson was born in Halifax County, December 21, 1941, son of Louis Elmo Pearson and Minnie Sledge Pearson.

He was a Pastor of Crossroads Ministries from 1989-2021, and he loved his church as well as his church family; a veteran of the US Army, during the Vietnam war ,an avid sports fan with favorites being the Atlanta Braves, the Washington Redskins, NC State and the Richmond Raiders! His favorite vacation spot was the mountains and he always loved being with his wife and his family. He was a loving husband, father,
grandfather and great-grandfather. He will truly be missed!

A Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2021, from 4:00-6:00 pm at Crossroad Ministries, 130 Apex Street, Hamlet.

The Funeral will be Sunday, March 7, 2021at 3:00 pm at Mt. Carmel Free Will Baptist Church, 573 Battley Dairy Road, Rockingham, with Rev. Mike Childers and Rev. Jerry Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Richmond Memorial Park.

Please wear a mask and continue to practice social distancing at the visitation and the Funeral.

He is survived by his wife of thirty nine years, Cindy Chappell Pearson; daughters, Susan Wilson (Sandy) of Fayetteville, Beverly Demoss of Burlington, Kim Vandermast (Dave) of Rockingham, Jennifer Helms (Chris) of Hamlet and Lori Rogers (Frankie) of Hamlet; son, Thad Pearson II (Anita) of Hamlet; sister, Patsy Towe of Wake Forest; eighteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; his dog “Prissy”; and his cat “Socks”.
