Obituary for Robert "Bobby" Harold Wilkes, Jr.
Robert “Bobby” Harold Wilkes, Jr., 53, of Hamlet, passed away Monday, March 21, 2022 at his residence.
He was born February 14, 1969, in Dover, Delaware, son of Robert Harold Wilkes, Sr. and Lewellyn Smith Gibson.
Bobby served our country in the United States Army. He was a member of Marks Creek Presbyterian Church in Hamlet. Since his childhood, he enjoyed fishing and sports. He also enjoyed watching sports, including NASCAR, with his life-long friend, Walt Pack.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Valeria Wilkes.
Bobby is survived by his mother, Lewellyn Smith Gibson of Hamlet; his father, Robert Harold Wilkes, Sr., and wife, Pat, of Guntersville, AL; and sister, Teresa Wilkes Kinsey, and husband, Paul, of Hamlet.
A visitation/memorial service will be Thursday, March 24, 2022 from 4:00pm-6:00pm at Harrington Funeral Home, Hamlet. Rev. Ken Goins will officiate the memorial service.
At other times, the family will receive friends at the home of Bobby’s sister, Teresa & Paul Kinsey, 899 Boyd Lake Road, Hamlet.
