Obituary for Robert Carlton "Bobby" Shoe, Sr.
Mr. Robert Carlton “Bobby” Shoe, Sr., 72, of Rockingham, went to be with his Lord, Tuesday, February 16, 2021, at First Health Richmond.
He was born September 6, 1948, son of William A. Shoe and Elizabeth Hicks Shoe.
“Bobby” was a member of West Rockingham Church of God, and a veteran of the US Marines. He was a humble Godly man that loved his church and loved his family.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-four years, Betty Sweatt Shoe; a son, Robert C. Shoe, Jr. of Rockingham; four daughters, Betty Levon Devanno of Florida, Bobbie Jo Millen of Rockingham, Rachel Shoe Knight of Rockingham; and Patsy Stanley of Hamlet; brother, Billy Shoe of Socastee, SC; sixteen grand-children; fourteen great-grandchildren; and his cat “Whiskers”.
The funeral will be held at West Rockingham Church of God at 2 p.m. on Friday, February 19, 2021.
Burial will follow with Military Honors at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery, Wallace, SC.
