Obituary for Roy "Leon" Bennett
Roy “ Leon “ Bennett, 80, of Moore County, formerly of Rockingham, passed away, Tuesday, October 20, 2020, at Pinehurst Healthcare and Rehabilitation.
He was born in Albemarle, September 20, 1940, son of John Roy Bennett and Ethel Presnell Bennett.
Leon was owner/operator of Bennett’s’ Floor Sanding and Refinishing. He took great pride in his work and many people still today are enjoying the work he did for them in their home. Leon enjoyed the outdoors, whether fishing or hunting. He loved his family and his companions, which were his dogs!
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Jerry L. Bennett.
Survivors include his three girls, Angela B. Cagle of Rockingham, Rhonda B. Whitlock (Billy) of Ellerbe and Kelli B. Jones (Brent) of Durham; his brother, Ronald Bennett of Griffon; six grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren.
All Services will be private.
