Obituary for Ruby "Edie" Steen Williams
Ruby “Edie” Steen Williams, 53, of Rockingham, passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at her home.
She was born in Marlboro County, SC, daughter of the late Jimmy E. Steen and Betty Jean Grant Steen.
Mrs. Williams was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church. She was a caring person and loved her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy E. and Betty Jean Grant Steen.
Mrs. Williams is survived by her husband, Sean A. Williams, Sr. of the home; children, Traci Annette White (Bobby) and Virginia Ann Williams, all of Rockingham, and Sean Anthony Williams II (Aimee Cottingham) of Hamlet; grandchildren, Logan, Gracie, Bryson, Bentley, Millie, Jamie, and Averie; grandmother, Edith Grant; brother, Bradley Wayne Steen (Jennifer) of Hamlet; sisters, Betty E. Steen of Bennettsville and Linda L. Steen of Rockingham.
Visitation will be Saturday, November 26, 2022 from 1:00-2:00pm at Joy Free Will Baptist Church. The memorial service will begin at 2:00pm, following the visitation, with Pastor June Grant officiating.
The family will receive friends at other times at the home of her sister, Betty, 120 Prevatte Chapel Road, Bennettsville.
