Sharon Lynn Boulier Smith, of Southern Pines, entered into her heavenly rest on November 8, 2023, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease, at her home and surrounded by her loved ones.
Sharon was born on November 18th, 1947 to John Boulier (Jack) and Helen Perry Boulier. She graduated from Hamlet High School and Richmond Community College. After graduating at the top of her class, she worked as an LPN in the operating room at Scotland Memorial Hospital until her marriage.
Sharon was a homemaker. She enjoyed caring for her family. Sharon was blessed with the fruit of generosity. She donated both time and money to many. She especially loved volunteering in her children and grandchildren classrooms as well as assisting in her church office and church food bank.
Sharon was a voracious reader and loved a good murder mystery. She loved decorating for holidays and collecting stuffed animals.
Sharon lived with a song in her heart and loved singing with family and visitors.
Sharon was preceded in death by her mother and father, and husband, Elvin Smith, Jr. (Smitty).
She leaves behind a very loving family. Daughter, Melissa Smith-Packett and son-in-law William Packett (Bill) of Southern Pines; Son, John E. Smith and wife Angelica (Angel) of Wake Forest; Grandchildren, Haleigh Packett, Logan Packett, Jenna York (Kathryn), Kristina Landen (Jeff), Mathew Dinwiddie and Jack Dinwiddie; two great-grandchildren, Abigail and Kayden Landen; a cousin, Mary Margaret Perry (Diane) of Clarksville, Indiana.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: FirstHealth Hospice and Palliative Care in Pinehurst or Page Memorial United Methodist Church in Aberdeen.
All services will be private.
