Shelley Phillips McLendon, 60, of Hamlet, passed away, Monday, March 9, 2020, at her residence.
She was born February 17, 1960, daughter of Bill Phillips and Margie Gregory Ashby.
Shelley worked for Richmond County as a housekeeper. She enjoyed fishing, loved flowers and the outdoors. She also helped maintain Castlewood Park in Rockingham.
She was preceded in death by her Dad, Bill Phillips; husband, Sam Howard McLendon; and a sister.
Survivors include her mother, Margie Ashby of the home; daughter, Shannon McLendon of Asheboro; son, David McLendon of Asheboro; brother, Michael Ashby of Hamlet; and seven grandchildren.
All Services will be private.
