Obituary for Terry Wayne Duncan

Terry Wayne Duncan, 68, of Hamlet, passed away on Tuesday, June 30,, 2020, at First Health Moore Regional.

He was born in Richmond County, November 16, 1951, son of Charles Clyde Duncan and Vallie Mae Sikes Duncan.

Terry was such a kind-hearted generous man; he loved love. He was a people person who had an infectious spirit; he laughed, joked and loved to entertain. At their beach house, he always had a “Come one, come all” attitude and then cooked a huge breakfast for everyone; Making sure all felt welcome. Terry was a soft big sweetheart and was not ashamed to tear up or to say I love you at the end of every phone call to his girls. He was so proud of his daughters and loved to brag on them. He loved his wife, as they constantly said “I love you” to one another; they completed one another.
Terry will surely be missed by his family and many friends; as he seriously could Light up a room with his smile and spirit. A great accomplishment many have never achieved!

Terry was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Larry Duncan.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Ann Funderburke Duncan of the home; daughters, Jennifer Brown (Ryan) of Rockingham and Amanda Beller (David) of Knightdale; sister, Linda Webb (Stephen) of Rockingham; and his two grandsons, his pride and joy, Riley Brown and Charlie Beller.

*****A Memorial Service will be held Friday, October 29, 2021 at 3:00 pm at First United Methodist Church, Hamlet.
