Obituary for Thomas Roland Wesson, Jr.
Thomas Roland Wesson, Jr., 83, of Hamlet, passed away Saturday, January 9, 2021, at his residence.
He was born June 23, 1937 in Portsmouth, VA., son of Thomas R. Wesson, Sr. and Laura Annie Franklin Wesson.
Mr. Wesson owned and operated Denson Supply Company. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and a veteran of the US Navy.
A Graveside Service will be held at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, 1247 Sandhill Road, Rockingham, on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at 2:00 pm. Rev. Butch Park will be officiating.
Mask and social distancing will be required due to the Covid 19 pandemic.
Mr. Wesson was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Barbara Stilwell.
He is survived by his wife Beaneti Brooks Wesson of the home; daughter, Shirley Parker (Alan) of Trinidad; son, Thomas David Wesson of Hamlet; daughter, Lori Lynn (Anthony) of Rockingham; sister, Susan Cain (Jerry) of Pageland; brother, Mike Wesson (Jerri) of Charlotte; a close family friend, Claire Ann Haines of Hamlet; six grandchildren, Samantha, Shannon, Christy, Mandy, Tiffany and Chris; and several well loved great -grandchildren.
