Obituary for Wilford "Bitty" Lewis Baucom, Jr.
Wilford “Bitty” Lewis Baucom, Jr., 52, of Marston, passed away Monday, July 18, 2022 at Richmond County Hospice Haven, after courageously battling Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma for more than two and a half years.
He was born July 10, 1970, in Richmond County, son of Sarah Mae Bailey Baucom and the late Wilford Lewis Baucom, Sr.
Bitty was a mechanic and was self-employed for many years with J & W Auto. He loved cars, working on cars, and teaching how to work on cars. He loved helping people, loved drag racing and fishing. His biggest love was his family, especially his daughters.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wilford Lewis Baucom, Sr.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, April Baucom of the home; daughters, Kandi McDonald (James) and Joanna Baucom, all of Marston, and adopted daughter, Kristen Parker of Hamlet; mother, Sarah Mae Baucom of Hamlet; grandson, Jason McDonald; brother, Andy Baucom (Tina) of Rockingham; sisters, Barbara Johnson (Ernest) and Michelle Baucom (David Covington), all of Rockingham, and Melissa Baucom of Florida; father-in-law, Steve Sharpe; long-time friend, Margaret Davis; and numerous nieces and nephews.
All services are being held privately by the family.
