Obituary for William "Bill" Rlaph Lane, Jr.
William Ralph “Bill” Lane, Jr., 74, of Hamlet, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2020, at Hospice Haven.
He was born in Greene County, NC, November 2, 1945, son of William R. Lane, Sr. and Annie Dail Lane.
Mr. Lane served as a Commander in the US Navy, giving 25 years of service.
He is survived by his wife Diane Folger Lane of the home; daughters, Angela Mayo of Pennsylvania and Michelle Lane of Hamlet; brother, Bob Lane of Alabama; and his three grandsons, J.T. Mayo, G.W. Mayo and Roger Dale Mayo.
A Memorial Service is being held at Second Baptist Church by the family.
